Manjhi The Mountain Man

Gehlor, a small village in Bihar, is blessed with Dasharath Manjhi, the mountain man. Sacrificing his happy life, he was living very hard life with his dead wife Phaguniah  in the mountain for shake of public with the intension of making road. People of Gehlor were deprived of all facilities provided by government because of the mountain. There was no road to city from Gehlor, and people had to cross the mountain by climbing on it. One day Phaguniah , loving bird of Dasharath Manjhi, flew away from Dashrath while crossing the mountain by falling down from it. It was very late to reach hospital by climbing that mountain. But Dasharath did not lose his patience rather he determined to do something for his love. Akbar built Taj Mahal for the memory of his begum with full power & support and without any obstacles. But facing countless obstacles and starve,  Dasharath Manjhi made road alone for the memory of his beloved Phaguniah . It took 22 years to break down the mountain without sophisticated equipment but his strong equipment was his wife’s memory that inspired Manjhi to have strong determination. When he was alive no one bothered about him but he was called mad man. Of course he was a mad man…. mad about Phaguniah , his life. Everyone in Gehlor was blind to see the fire that was burning inside Dasharath. Finally, fire of success was burst out with the the completion of making road and Dasharath died in 2007 with heavenly peace as he kept his promise that he did to Phaguniah.

Life of Dasharath was hell after the death of Phaguniah but he was enjoying his life doing something for his lovely Phaguniah . No matter what people were talking about him but his determination was strong. For long 22 years, drinking his tears, bearing the hard sun and heavy rain, getting snake bite, keeping all emotions inside, he was trying to show himself very bold telling he was fine when he was asked how is he. He never expressed his tiredness, painful journey and any complain to others. He was sharing everything to Phaguniah  but in the end of the talk he was assuring her that he will make road for her. Only this promise was making him active every morning even though he was not consuming food and water properly. Without caring the barriers, successfully he made the road. This is only love which he proved.

The presentation of protagonist by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, in the movie of Manjhi, is outstanding, and it takes us to the world where those poor tribal are living. The expressions, he gave in each and every scene, are heart touching and eye filling. Starting from love expression, revenge expression on mountain to mixed expression of painful smile and joyful tears proves that he is a real hero. The way he approaches his love, confronts to mountain then loves to mountain, talks to a soul at night are the extraordinary realistic. He showed real Dasharath Manjhi in him and pulled the tears from ayes of audience.

Worst Experience in My Life

Monday morning, as usual I was in deep sleep till 8 AM. My dreamful eyes were trying to be opened by the din of my phone without success and my finger actively pressed the disconnect button as the sound was irritating me. Again, it started ringing and I tried picking the call with closed eyes. A female worried tone made my eyes open with tears and the flow of current through my body. It was my sister who gave me unpredictable news. The call was from Odisha and I was at Chennai at that time. The entire ambiance changes, when an unexpected thing happens to human being. Exactly same thing happened to me at that particular moment by unexpected death news of my Dad. The helpless situation, grief and the dark ambiance made me lonely and took me to the different world where I was not able to see and listen to anyone. Also, my mental presence was lost to control myself. Unfortunately, there was no direct flight to Bhubaneswar as per my plan but the connecting flight was available where
